Found yet moe letters sadly penned in blood,
Though Reason weep, and cry it is thy last.
MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG
In a not-too-surprising turn of events, it looks like an official mobile version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is set to be published by Chinese games and entertainment company Bilibili. You might be wondering why the announcement hasn't yet landed on the official Fall Guys Twitter account, and that's likely because Bilibili has only secured the rights to publish the mobile version in China.

Fall Guys has become an indisputable viral sensation since launching for PC and PS4 earlier this month. Its meteoric rise to popularity is a feat I don't think we've seen since 2015's Rocket League.
Chinese games and entertainment company Bilibili has secured the rights to publish a mobile version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in China. The game released for PC and PS4 on August 4, 2020 and has become a viral hit.#FallGuys https://t.co/BjElzemUGr pic.twitter.com/EBgYq3pck5— Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) August 22, 2020If you've yet to give it a go, it's a sort of platformer battle royale where every round throws a fresh party game at you. As the match progresses, players will gradually be eliminated until the winner is decided.

It's super simple and honestly ideal for mobile, especially given how straightforward the control scheme is. And so it's no surprise that clones have already started to pop up on mobile storefronts; the most notable of which – Fall Gang: Knockout – has now been removed from sale. In a statement to Pocketgamer.biz, Fall Gang developer Keleman Tamas said that he is now working on a "similar one that will be multiplayer."

In cases where popular games haven't yet made their way to mobile, it's always best to wait for the real thing. That said, according to Sensor Tower data gathered by PG.biz, over 80,000 players had downloaded Fall Gang prior to its removal from the App Store. The game eventually went premium and netted around $3,500 in sales.

I'm hopeful that a mobile version will eventually head westward, but with no estimated launch date for the Chinese release, it seems that we might have a fair while to wait. Still, that's always preferable to a rough, rushed mobile port.
Searching for the best multiplayer mobile games? Here are 25 of our favourites for iPhone & iPad
Mobile puzzlers have always been ten a penny, but every now and then, one comes along with mould-shattering ambitions. BRIX! Block Blast falls into that category, and it aims to inject some originality into the genre by introducing players to a unique mechanic.

The game is a block-arranging puzzler which takes the classic drop elements from Tetris and combines them with the colour-matching gameplay from contemporary puzzle games. It’s a system called ‘drop & match’ and it really sets the title apart.

In BUTTONSiO, everything has gone a bit 2001: A Space Odyssey; you're the sole survivor of a space expedition gone awry, an AI of your own design has gone rogue and taken over your ship, and now you find yourself trapped outside in the endlessness of space. The only way you're going to live to fight another date is if you somehow hack your way back in and stop the AI in its tracks.

To make matters even worse, it turns out that failing in your mission will also spell the demise of the entire human race. Goodness me…

The Nintendo Switch keynote is looming ever closer and more information is slipping through the cracks. It looks like there could be a difference in performance between docking and un-docking your Nintendo Switch.

We're all excited for the Switch to finally get out of the screens and into our hands, but how will it run? Between Eurogamer and Venturebeat, the recently discussed specifications actually suggest that the device could run about 40% lower once it's out of the dock. When handheld, the Switch could run at 307.2 MHz whilst a docked device sees double that at 768 MHz.

Twinning this with the console's slightly outdated innards and a few inconsistencies that don't quite add up so far, the likelihood of recent console games running on the Switch grows thinner and thinner. Older titles aren't as demanding so I wouldn't write them off just yet, but you can probably expect the battery life to be a bugger when it's at its highest performance.

Needless to say Nintendo's got their work cut out for them.

For those interested in an explanation with more tech-talk, Eurogamer's article goes into technologically graphic detail about the CPU and GPU clock speeds of the upcoming Switch, so it's definitely worth a read.

Of course, take everything you read with a pinch of salt. We won't have confirmation of details until the 13th January, so stay tuned.

Would you look at that gif up there. Is that not the best teeth brushing you've ever seen in a game? I reckon so.

It's from Julian Kantor's rhythm-action game Psynchrony, which he quietly announced for iPad while 2014 was being laid to rest.

In it, you play as the young woman you can see above. Her name is Kay, and she's a writer, but her life has arrived at a difficult crossroads.

"In order to break free from the rigid rhythms of her daily routine, Kay must reach the center of her inner dream world and confront the shadowy figure who has haunted her since childhood," explains Kantor.

It seems that escaping these "rigid rhythms" is both metaphorical as well as a physical action that you'll have to perform inside the game.

When taking on a task, you're required to tap on the screen when thought bubbles reach Kay as they move inwardly at her.

Tap at the right time, matching the rhythm, and Kay will speed up, becoming more confident in the action. But if you miss she'll slow down and maybe stop if you're that bad.

The example that Kantor gives is brushing Kay's teeth, hence the gif above. What you can't experience yet is the music that accompanies the teeth brushing.

"Every time Kay takes an action, or gains momentum, the music will build in intensity," Kantor says. "And with every layer of music you discover, you will also discover a new layer of the story, along with new gameplay sequences."

In the future, Kantor says that he'll explain how free action and rhythm choice also affects the music and story.

So, if you don't want to miss that, keep checking the game's website.
The ninja kiwi company developed the whole Bloons game series, and they have continued their tremendous quality work by producing the latest epic game in this series Bloons T.D. 6.
